Linn Jorum Sulland ( born July 15, 1984 in Oslo) is a Norwegian handball player.

Career

In the club

Linn Jorum Sulland started playing handball at Korsvoll IL and moved in 2001 to Stabæk Håndball. After the left-hander for Stabæk aground in the 2001/ 02 season in the top Norwegian youth league, she was from the summer of 2002, the cadres of the women's team Stabæk, who also competed in the highest Norwegian league. In summer 2009, Linn Jorum Sulland joined the league rivals Larvik HK. With Larvik she won the Norwegian championship in their first season. Furthermore Linn Jorum Sulland first played with a club in European competition. In the following season they defended with Larvik the championship and won the additional EHF Champions League. With its ten hits in the final second leg they had a decisive role in this success. In the seasons 2011/12 and 2012/13, followed by two more national championship wins.

In the National Team

Linn Jorum Sulland came 14 times for the Norwegian junior selection for use with which she won the bronze medal at the Junior World Championship in 2003.

The left-hander was on 26 March 2004 her debut in the senior team. After the two left-handed inner Linn -Kristin Riegelhuth Koren and Vigdis Hårsaker Vorfelde in the 2005 World Championships seriously injured, Sulland got the opportunity to put their skills at a major tournament under proof. In this tournament, Norway finished ninth.

After Sulland did not participate in the European Championship in 2006, she was a member of the Norwegian squad, which in France runner-up was at the 2007 World Championships. In 2007, she participated with a Norwegian selection of the Beach Handball Championship, who finished the tournament in third place. Sulland with 149 points was the most successful scorer of the tournament.

In the following years Sulland was often not included in the nominations. So they did not take part in the Olympic Games in 2008 and at the 2009 World Cup. Only at the European Championships 2008, the left-hander was a member of the Norwegian squad. Norway won the European title, with Sulland intervened into the action as a bench player in the first place. At the 2010 European Championships Sulland belonged to the tournament starts at the Norwegian squad and was not re-nominated until the semi-finals. Norway managed to defend his title by a final against Sweden.

Since 2011, Linn Jorum Sulland is one of the pillars of the Norwegian national team. In the 2011 World Cup, the Osloerin won with Norway the title and finished with 51 goals ranked second in the scoring charts. In summer 2012 she participated in the Olympics in London and won on 11 August 2012, her team the gold medal. In the final match against Montenegro they scored ten goals. The end of 2012, she participated in the European Championship, the Norway and graduated with a second place. At the World Championships in 2013 she resigned from Norway in the quarterfinals. During the tournament they scored 24 goals in seven games.

Private

Linn Jorum Sulland comes from a sports family. Her mother Guri jorum stood 51 times in goal for the Norwegian national handball team and her father Svein Sulland also played handball, and her sister Randi who also plays handball in the highest Norwegian league. Her grandfather mothers lights hand Einar Jorum was a well-known football official.
