Linnenbeeke
The Linne Beeke just before the transition to the trout stream
The Linne Beeke is a right tributary of Trout brook in the northeast of the German Federal State of North Rhine -Westphalia.
Geography
The lake has a total length of 6.8 km. The catchment area covers a mountainous area north of Bonneberg in Valdorf ( Vlotho ) and northern Lipper Bergland. The water rises between Nettelberg and Bonstapel in southeastern Vlotho on the so-called Seven source and flows Valdorf in the trout stream ( river mile 2.7 ). Previously, she passed the house of the guest, the Weserland clinic and the spa gardens of Bad Senkelteich and bathroom Seebruch in Vlothoer district Valdorf at kilometer 3.
The first flow part of the name Linnen to go back to the use of the water for the Flachsröste or redness of, Beeke means in Low German brook. The Ravens Berger land register of 1556 she is named as Sudmersenbeeke after Ursiedlung Südmersen.

History
The Linne Beeke has been used through the ages more or less intense. An example from the 20th century is from 1954 its use as a water supplier for the aided and realized by the Turnverein Eintracht Valdorf Waldfreibad, which is today run by a development association. A few kilometers upstream waters are on the left side of Linne Beeke traces of a larger old Saxon farmhouse dating back to around 900 AD, was the target of a 1941 excavation. Environment
Large parts of the river valley are protected. The following conservation areas are traversed or touched:
- Nature reserve Linne Beeke is Vlotho and is 29.8 hectares. The area was made in 1941 under conservation and 1998 once again confirmed. Managed 3.5 km of the stream that runs through the forest (beech ) and grassland. Am Bach is mainly found close to the shore alder groves, but also a larger alder forest and a humid forest of ash trees. The creek has flushed about 1500 the formative landscape boulders. These species were the original reason of the establishment of the reserve in 1941. Through the State Office for Nature Monuments in Prussian nature of protection of the river valley and boulder accumulation was observed as early as 1912. The assurance was over buying by the provincial administration. The reserve is adjacent to the Doberg in frets the oldest nature reserve in East Westphalia -Lippe. Directly adjacent is the nature reserve of Little Selberg.
- Nature reserve Plögereisiek: The 5.4 hectares in and around 800 m long Plögereisiek is a side valley of Linne Beeke with stream east of the spa park of Bad Vlotho - Seebruch. It is pronounced as a typical for the Ravens Berger country Siek with his wet grassland. The stream is meandering - close to nature in the upper reaches and is accompanied by an alder-ash riparian forest. In the lower reaches of the stream is straightened. Here you will find large sedge or reed stocks. On the drier side of the valley there are also Buchwäldchen. The area adjacent to the wildlife sanctuaries seven pieces and Linne Beeke.
- Nature reserve Seven pieces: The area is only 2.6 ha in size, located in Vlotho and was recognized in 1998. It is also about a semi-natural Sieksystem with Kastental that ecologically the nature reserve Plögereisiek similar.
