Lioessens

Lioessens ( Frisian: Ljussens ) is a village in the municipality Dongeradeel in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is located between Metslawier and Paesens - Moddergat and has 380 inhabitants.

Unlike most Frisian villages Lioessens was not built on a mound, but there have been natural elevations on which Lioessens was built.
