Lior Ashkenazi

Lior Ashkenazi (Hebrew ליאור אשכנזי; born December 28, 1968 in Ramat Gan, Israel) is an Israeli actor.

Life

Lior Ashkenazi was born as the son of Turkish Jews in Ramat Gan. He spent his youth on a kibbutz. His military service Ashkenazi spent from 1987 at the Israel Defense Forces at the Parachute Brigade. Then he studied until 1994 at the Beit Zvi acting school. After his theater involvement, he played with, among others, in such films as canon, Enemy Scoop and Southwest before 2001 he was awarded for his role of Zaza in the staged Dover Koshashvili Romance Wedding Reluctant with the Israeli Film Award Ophir Award for Best Actor.

Lior Ashkenazi was with the actress Shira Farber, with whom he has a daughter, married. He then had a relationship with the writer and playwright Sigal Avin. Since 26 December 2011, he is married to the film producer Maya Amsellem.
