Lisa Resch

Lisa Resch ( born October 4, 1908 in Garmisch, † January 31, 1949 ) was a German alpine skier.

Career

Resch came from the Upper Bavarian town of Garmisch skiing destination. In the second half of the 1930s she was behind her teammate Christl Cranz and next Käthe grass Egger in international competitions, the dominant driver. They won between 1934 and 1939 at World Alpine Ski Championships eight medals, making it one of the most successful ski racers of all time. In 1938 she was in the downhill in the Swiss Engelberg World Champion.

At the 1936 Winter Olympics, which were held in her hometown, she finished second in the combined score rank sixth in the depth in the scoring departure she had first reached the second place, fell next day but with an eighth place in the slalom in the class back.

In 1937, she contributed to the International Hahnenkamm Race in Kitzbühel slalom and in combination as the first German in the list of winners. In the SDS- race in Grindelwald it in 1938 second in slalom and third in the combination and 1939 third in the slalom.

On January 31, 1949, she died of a heart attack at the age of 40 years.
