Lise Myhre

Lise Myhre ( born 1 November 1975 in Skedsmo ) is a Norwegian cartoonist. Their most famous cartoon is Nemi.

Career

After her brief study graphic design at Santa Monica College in California, Lise Myhre started to draw CD and t-shirt prints their careers. She also took part in competitions and began to caricature contributions to Larsons Gale Verden, to leave the Norwegian version of Gary Larson's The Far Side magazine.

From 1997, Myhre got her own page in Larsons Gale Verden, "Den Svarte siden " ( German: The black side ), and this developed into Nemi. From 1999 Nemi was a guest cartoon in the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet, and from 2000 a regular. The first Nemi album was released in summer 2000 and was a huge success. Since Myhre has changed the publisher ( of Bladkompaniet to Egmont ) in January 2003 there every 6 weeks a new Nemi magazine in Norwegian ( bokmål ).

Nemi, with a circulation of over 70,000 copies, is now the second most popular cartoon in Norway, near " Pondus ".

Nemi is published today in about 60 different newspapers, magazines and Web sites in Norway, Sweden, Finland, England and Scotland. Among these, metro ( in England and Scotland), Dagens Nyheter (Sweden), Ilta - Sanomat (Finland) and Dagbladet ( Norway) is greatest.

Translated into the German language was published in May 2006, the bound cartoon " Nemi Volume 1 ".

Lise Myhre has also illustrated poems of Edgar Allan Poe and André Bjerke.
