Lise Nørgaard

Lise Nørgaard ( born June 14, 1917 in Roskilde ) is a Danish journalist, novelist and screenwriter.

Life

She is the daughter of Harry wholesalers Alexander Jensen (1889-1976) and the fashion dealer Olga Sofie Tønder ( 1889-1987 ). After her tenth class degree ( realeksamen ) she trained as a translator. As a journalist she worked for Danish daily and weekly newspapers, then from 1935 for Roskilde Dagblad, 1949 for policies and from 1968 for Hjemmet. From 1975 to 1977 she was editor in chief of Hjemmet. In 1980, she worked for Berlingske Tidende.

In Denmark, it was first known as a writer. She wrote several successful novels, essays, short stories and memoirs. Not least, they reached as a screenwriter and intellectual cornerstone of the TV series Matador and Oh, these tenants in their own country better known.
