Líšný

Líšný ( German Lischnei ) is a municipality in the region of Liberec ( Czech Republic). The village is situated on the banks of the Jizera ( Iser) on the northern edge of the Český Ráj. In the village live around 250 inhabitants.

History

Was first mentioned in 1382 as the village Lesczne. The first houses were probably built on the right bank of the river. From the 15th century the building was on the other side of the river. The area was ruled from the mid- 16th century by the family of the Maloskal. 1777 the chapel of St. John of Nepomuk was inaugurated.
