List of airports in Poland

The list of airports in Poland contains the major airports in Poland.

Among the 12 main airports are respectively the characteristic data IATA Code, ICAO Code, the height above sea level in meters, the year of opening, the classification, the use, the number and type of runways, passenger numbers for 2006, including compared to the previous year in percent, the weight of the cargo in tons for the year 2005 and the aircraft movements reported for the year 2006.

Explanation

  • Airport Name: Lists the name of the airport as well as any additional names.
  • IATA Code: The code consists of a combination of three Latin letters and is used to uniquely identify the individual airports. The IATA code is assigned by the International Air Transport Association (IATA ).
  • ICAO code: The ICAO code is assigned by the International Civil Aviation Organization and consists of a unique combination of four Latin letters. This EP represents Poland.
  • Height ( m): Specifies the height above sea level of the airport.
  • Opening: Denotes the year in which the airport was opened.
  • Operator: Lists the operator ( operator) of the airport.
  • Classification: distinction in regional (marked with REG) and international airports ( INT).
  • Use: Specifies what the airport is used. That may be, civil (labeled Z), Military (M) or General Aviation ( AL).
  • R: R stands for Runway. Reports the number of runways of the airport. These may consist of asphalt ( marked A ), concrete (B ) or grass (G ) exist.
  • Passengers: Specifies the total number of passengers to the airport for the year 2007. The number in brackets indicates by what percentage has the number of passengers increased or decreased to the previous year.
  • Freight in tons: Specifies the total transported to the airport cargo in tonnes for the year 2005.
  • Flight movements: Specifies the entire flight movements the airport for the year 2007.
