List of countries by distribution of wealth is a selection of 30 countries, which are sorted by the Gini coefficient as a measure of inequality.

In the table there is also the population of adults and their percentage of the world population, as well as the theoretical average wealth of the residents in the U.S. dollar and their percentage share of the global wealth.

• Survey -based comparisons of wealth are subject to a systematic error, which is the higher, the higher the Gini coefficient, because the then owner of a few highly concentrated assets either for statistical reasons hardly can be captured or give any information.
• Depending on the survey method that is practiced in the various countries, also can vary considerably, the results so that only a limited comparability between different countries is possible.
