List of longest suspension bridge spans

The list of the longest suspension bridges suspension bridges classified according to the length of their middle span (distance between the pylons ). This is the measure most commonly used to compare suspension bridges. If a bridge has a longer span than another, this does not mean that the length of the shore to shore must be necessarily greater. However, the midspan is interrelated with the height of the pylons and the complexity of the engineering work in planning and construction.

The list contains the 100 longest suspension bridges in the world with road and / or rail transport. These are arranged according to the length of the center span.
