List of man-made objects on the Moon
The list of artificial objects on the Moon contains the most artificial objects, which are landed or pitched on the lunar surface (in the latter case, the objects are as such no longer exists partly because completely destroyed). It does not include smaller objects such as the retroreflectors and the Apollo Lunar Surface Experiment Package. Also missing several small objects of the Apollo astronauts, like the golf balls were beaten by Alan Shepard during the Apollo 14 mission, flags or the statuette Fallen Astronaut, which was 15 left behind by the crew of Apollo on the moon.
Five rocket stages of the Apollo program are the heaviest objects. While over 190 tons were brought to the moon, only 382 kg of lunar rocks were brought back by the Apollo and Luna missions to Earth.
The only man-made objects on the moon, which are still in use since the end of the mission, the retroreflectors for the Lunar Laser Ranging Experiment ( LLR ) from the Apollo program and of Lunokhod 2 are
The objects with a position greater than 90 degrees east or west are on the moon back. These are 4 Ranger, Lunar Orbiter 1, Lunar Orbiter 2 Lunar Orbiter 3 and the relay satellite Kaguya. The objects are numbered in order of their premium or landing.
