This is a list of mosques in Israel. The al -Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City is the third most important mosque of Islam after the al -Haram Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina. Not all of the listed building are still preserved.
