List of political parties in Germany

The list of political parties in Germany lists the currently officially recognized parties and electoral associations on in the Federal Republic of Germany.

According to the German law on political parties parties are groups which " want to permanently or influence for a long time for the federal or state area on the political will and participate in the representation of the people in the German Bundestag or a Landtag ". A party loses its status as a party if it does not participate for six years in parliament or state elections. In some state elections and in the European elections also groups of voters or other political associations can compete next parties.

Parties and electoral groups in parliaments

Political parties and electoral associations are represented based on their own nominations in the European Parliament, the German Bundestag or in at least one state legislature since its last election.

Parties

The following list shows all not between temporally resolved parties who have in the past six years with country lists that have been approved, or participated comparing items to parliament or state tags elections. Where data are available, the number of members, the number of national federations or immediate subdivisions of the federal party, the sum of the payments received from the public financing of political parties and the creation date are mentioned.

Voters' associations

In some state elections and in the European elections, it is not only parties but also groups of voters or other political associations allowed to submit nominations. The list of voters' associations that are still actively competed in the most recent election of the Parliament and corresponding date.
