Lithuania women's national football team

The Lithuanian national football team of women representing the Baltic state of Lithuania in international women's football. The national team is subordinate to the Lithuanian Football Federation and is trained by Rimantas Viktoravicius.

Until now, the team could not qualify for international tournament. The best position in the FIFA World Ranking was number 60, which was occupied between December 2004 and November 2006, more than once. In recent years, the team slipped significantly and reached number 82 in July 2011 with the worst result so far. The 12:17 defeat against Scotland is one of the highest defeats a European team.

Most games were played against the Baltic neighbors Estonia and Latvia. So far, there were no games against Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In the pre-qualification for Euro 2013, the team finished the tournament in Macedonia the second group place and could not therefore qualify for the actual qualification.

Even in the pre-qualification for the 2015 World Championships, the team finished the tournament in own country only the last group space and could not therefore qualify for the actual qualification.
