Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences
The Education Scientific University of Lithuania (short LEU from Lithuanian: Lietuvos edukologijos universitetas ) is a University of Education in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius.
History
The pedagogical university dates back to 1935, founded in Klaipeda National Pedagogical Institute. This attracted during the Second World War to Vilnius to and received by the Russian occupation a revision of the curriculum and was renamed Vilnius Pedagogical Institute. On 2 July 1992, the state recognition as a university and was again a name change to the present name.
