Litíč

Litíč ( German Littitsch ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north-west of Jaroměř and belongs to Okres Trutnov.

Geography

Litíč is located in the eastern foothills of the Horschitzer sandstone ridge on the Velichovská tabule ( Welchower panel) in Bohemia. Due to the location of Litíčský flowing creek. North of the forest Nový les lies with the created by Matthias Bernard Braun Nature gallery Betlem.

Neighboring towns are Žireč in the north, and Kašov Nový Kašov in the northeast, and Zaloňov Vestec in the east, in the southeast Rtyně, Velichovky in the south, Nouzov the southwest, Hvězda in the west and Malé Hřibojedy and Hřibojedy in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Liticze dated around in 1530. Owners was based on the Old Náchod Adelsgelschlecht the Litický Šonov. During the reign of Jan the Elder Litický Šonov a new church was built in 1586. After the Thirty Years' War was a German occupation of the site. 1836 lived 436 people in Littitsch.

After the abolition of patrimonial Litice formed in 1850 with the hamlet of New Year Village / Nouzov a municipality in the district Dvůr Králové nad Labem. In the 1920s, the amendment to the Czech place name in Litíč was. 1930, the village had 392 inhabitants, in 1939 there were 352 As a result of the Munich Agreement in 1938 came Littitsch to the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district Trautenau.
