Liu Chuang (snooker player)

Liu Chuang (Chinese刘 闯, Pinyin Liú Chuǎng, born 6 June 1990) is a professional snooker player since 2007. He lives in the Chinese province of Liaoning.

Career

Chuang was only the sixth Chinese players on the Main Tour Snooker. He fell on the first time when he got a wildcard for the 2007 China Open, beating in the first round Andy Hicks 5-4. In the next game he met his idol Ronnie O'Sullivan and lost with 1:5. In the Snooker World Cup 2008, the two met in the first round each other again. Here Chuang defeated by 5:10.

He reached the quarterfinals at the ACBS Asian Snooker Championship. There he was beaten Yasin Merchant with 4:5. In addition, he has once reached the finals of two national tournaments.

In the meantime he had lost his place on the Main Tour Snooker again, Under -21 Championship qualifying for the 2010/11 season by his victory at the Asian again for the professional tour. Through victory over Rod Lawler, Jimmy White and Jamie Cope, he managed at the World Snooker Championship 2012 for the second time in his career in the finals of the World Cup.
