Liu Dong

Liu Dong (born 27 December 1973 in Liaoning Province ) is a retired Chinese middle distance runner. At a height of 1.73 m, her body weight was 55 kg.

Liu Dong was in 1992 Junior World Champion in the 1500 meter race. The following year, she finished second at the Asian Championships, and won at the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart in 1993. In 4:00,50 min, it was almost three seconds before the Irishwoman Sonia O'Sullivan.

1994 and 1995 took Liu Dong not participate in competitions because she had fallen out with the manager.
