Liu Song dynasty

The Past Song Dynasty, the Chinese also of the Liu Song Dynasty (Chinese刘宋/刘宋, Pinyin Liu Song ) is called, refers to a period of the Chinese Empire, which lasted 420-479.

The Song dynasty fell in the time of the division of China into a southern and a northern part of the end of the Jin Dynasty; we also speak of the time of the Northern and Southern Dynasties ( 420-581 ). The Song Dynasty was the first of the Southern Dynasties, it was replaced by the Qi Dynasty ( 479-502 ).

In the north, it was confronted with the Northern Wei Dynasty, which had been founded by the nomadic Tuoba. The northern boundary of the Qi Dynasty was doing about 100km south of the Huang He.
