Genesis

Frehley 's Comet had released her first album in July 1987 and can achieve a decent result. To publicize the band and album, the group went on tour in the U.S., during which various concerts were recorded. Later was the group of 28 October 1987 opening for Alice Cooper on the road, but was worth it in financial terms, not so Frehley 's Comet left the tour after the concert on 10 November 1987. The group then hoofed it on their own responsibility.

Because of its obligations for the Late Letterman Show Anton Fig was initially unable to attend the tour. He was replaced by Billy Ward, who played during the summer dates of the group. When it came to tensions, a short break was used to dismiss him, then took advantage of fig a two week holiday to continue with Frehley 's Comet the tour. From the resulting recordings in this period, the group selected four titles that have been added to the concert at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on September 4, 1987. Reason for publishing was to keep the band in the public perception, the decision to precipitated Johnny Zazula, head of the record label Megaforce Records.

Had been written addition to the four songs, two of which are of Frehley 's former band Kiss came, but by Frehley Live 1 contained the Studio Title Words are not Enough. This song was already written in 1980 by Jim Keneally and been used by Frehley 's Comet for 1985 produced demo tape. In the recordings of their debut album was Words are not Enough then left as so-called outtake. The title originally comprised three verses, but was reduced by 20 seconds compared to the demo version and remained as zweistrophiges song. Frehley was the co- editor of the title.

Reception

"Already " Words are not Enough " alone is worth buying. The live songs are also good, especially the cover of Kiss' Rocket Ride. "

The German magazine Metal Hammer wrote:

" Good stuff! Brings you live atmosphere into the home office, this new EP by Frehley 's Comet, the band of ex -Kiss - Gitarreros Space Ace Frehley. Recorded last year in Chicago, the disc includes the following live tracks: Rip It Out (of Fehley 's 78s Kiss solo LP), Breakout, Something Moved (both from Frehley 's Comet album ) and Rocket Ride which the first time on page four Kiss Alive II opus was heard. The studio recording of previously unreleased demo tracks on vinyl Words Are Not Enough EP can finish in top Frehley manner. At the highest score it is not enough. The boring and totally unnecessary drum solo following breakout can be at most one rating in six to area. "
