Living Coasts
Living Coasts is a small zoo in Torquay (England ), which specializes in water- living animals. The zoo is part of Paignton Zoo, being a part of the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust, also as the Newquay Zoo. Living Coasts is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums ( Biaza ), the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria ( EAZA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums ( WAZA ).
The zoo is completely covered with a large network, so that there can seabirds flying around freely. Among them are the individual enclosure.
History
The zoo was opened ( 80th birthday of Paignton Zoo ) in July 2004 and is now visited by more than 100,000 visitors annually. In July 2009, new aquariums were inaugurated on the subject of mangroves.
