Living in America (song)

Living in America is a song by James Brown from 1985, which was written by Dan Hartman and Charlie Midnight. It is also in the soundtrack to the movie Rocky IV - included The fight of the century.

History

Living in America was published in December 1985. It was a number -one hit in Belgium and Brown's first Top Ten hit in the UK. Brown won with it at the Grammy Awards 1987 in the category Best Male Vocal Performance - R & B.

The hit is 4:45 minutes long and was released on the album Gravity. On the B - side of the single is an instrumental version of the song.

In one scene in the Rocky IV film James Brown sings the song in the boxing ring before the fight with Apollo Creed.

Music Video

The plot of the music video consists of various cut scenes together. In one scene James Brown gives a concert, in the other you can see photographs of the United States while also giving some scenes of the Rocky IV film can be seen.
