Liz Irving

Liz Irving ( born February 7, 1965 in Brisbane ) is a retired Australian squash player.

Career

Liz Irving celebrated her greatest career success in 1993, when she was able to reach the final of the World Cup in Johannesburg. In this they defeated her compatriot Michelle Martin clearly with 2:9, 2:9 and 1:9. In 1988 they reached the final of the British Open, which she lost to Susan Devoy. In 1994 and 1995 she was also in the finals, but lost these two games each against Michelle Martin. Their highest placing in the world rankings, it reached number two in May 1988. With the Australian national team, she was a total of four times world champion. With compatriot Dan Jenson Liz Irving in 1997, also world champion in mixed doubles. In the final, in Hong Kong they defeated the English duo Cassie Jackman and Chris Walker. Your last game as an active player, she completed in 2002.

Since her career end Liz Irving has worked as a squash coach. She lives in Amsterdam under trained, among others, Vanessa Atkinson or currently Nicol David.
