Liz Jensen

Liz Jensen ( * 1959 in Oxfordshire ) is an English writer who is currently also at the BBC in the field of radio and television works.

Life

Liz Jensen's mother was British- Moroccan, her father of Danish origin; the mother was a librarian, the father luthier. Liz Jensen studied English at Somerville College, Oxford. She then worked as a journalist in Hong Kong and Taiwan, then in the UK as a radio and television producer for the BBC. In 1987 she went to France, where she worked as a sculptor and freelance journalist. There she began to write books. On her return to London her first novel was published in 1995. Her books have since been translated into more than 20 languages.

She has two sons and lives with the Danish bestselling author Carsten Jensen in London and Copenhagen.
