Ljubomir Nenadović

Ljubomir P. Nenadović (Serbian Љубомир Ненадовић; * 14 Septemberjul / September 26 1826greg in Brankovina, .. .. † 21 Januarjul / February 2 1895greg in Valjevo ) was a Serbian writer.

Life

Ljubomir Nenadović came from an important family history for the Serb, he was the son of the popular leader Matija Nenadović. Ljubomir studied philosophy in Prague, Berlin and Heidelberg and traveled to many countries of Western and Southern Europe. He became a professor at the Belgrade Lyceum. Several journals were published by him, including Šumadinka 1850-1857. He was also active as a diplomat and acted as Secretary Petar II Petrović - Njegoš in Italy.

Works

Nenadović authored numerous didactic and moralizing poems. His greatest significance lies in the drafting of interesting travel reports from Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Montenegro, which are written with keen powers of observation and humor, and made him known. There is no German translations.
