Ljudmila Novak

Lyudmila Novak ( born August 1, 1959 in Maribor) is a Slovenian politician of the party Nova Slovenija - Krscanska Ljudska Stranka.

Novak worked as a teacher for Slovenian and German as well as a mentor teacher at the secondary school center in Murska Sobota, a home for girls in Višnja Gora, a vocational school for disabled young people in Kamnik. From 2001 to 2004 she was mayor of Moravče.

In Nova Slovenija party Novak from 2002 to 2004 Member of the Party Council, since 2008 she has their chairpersons. From 2004 to 2009 she was a member of the European Parliament. In 2011 she moved into the Slovenian Parliament, in government it has since become Minister for Slovenian diaspora.
