Llica

Llica is a village in the department of Potosí in the highlands of South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

Llica is the seat of the administration of the province Daniel Campos and central place of the district ( bolivian: Municipio) Llica. The village lies at an altitude of 3681 m in the source area of the Río Jalanta, which flows southeast to seven kilometers in the Salar de Uyuni.

Geography

The municipality Llica lies between the western Andes Cordillera Occidental and the eastern chain of the Cordillera Oriental on the shores of the salt lake Salar de Uyuni. The climate in the region is semiarid and a typical diurnal climate where the temperatures fluctuate more during the day than during the year.
