Łobez County

The powiat Lobeski is a powiat ( county ) in the northwestern Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship, terms of population, the smallest of the province. The county was established on January 1, 2002.

According to the Polish local government reform by the year 1999 there were in Łobez strong popular protests against the new circuit structure that is also a blockade of the railway line Berlin - Gdansk had the consequence and this resulted, that the city was the seat of a county again.

The powiat Lobeski includes a total of five communities, four urban and rural communities:

  • Łobez ( Labes )
  • Resko (rain forest )
  • Węgorzyno ( Wangerin )
  • Dobra ( Daber )

And a rural community:

  • Radowo Małe (small Raddow )
