London 1883 chess tournament

The chess tournament at London 1883 was one from April 26 to June 23, 1883 at the Victoria Hall of London's Criterion's double round material discharged chess tournament between fourteen of the strongest players in the world. Johannes Hermann Zukertort won the tournament with three points ahead of the previously considered to be the strongest player in the world, Wilhelm Steinitz, Zukertort after with 22/26 points occupied at the end of the tournament opiates and lost the last three rounds. The significant tournament win and be famous win against Joseph Henry Blackburne meant that Zukertort regarded himself as a champion of the World. Each week, five games were played, which were held from 12 to 17 and 19 to 23 clock. Wednesdays and Saturdays were repeatedly drawn games. Blackburne and Rosenthal repeated the table a level not affecting drawn game not while Skipworth left the tournament early.
