Longirod

Longirod is a municipality in the district of Nyon in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.

Geography

Longirod is located on 899 m above sea level. Level, 13 km north of the district main town Nyon ( straight line ). The scattered village extends on a slightly inclined to the south elevation of the Jura south slope, in a scenic location around 500 m above the lake level of Lake Geneva.

The area of ​​9.5 km ² large municipality area includes a portion of the Jura south slope and the Vaud Jura. Population

With 416 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) Longirod is one of the small communities of the Canton of Vaud.
