Lord of the Rings (musical)

The Lord of the Rings is a novel by the English author JRR Tolkien, who has already served as a template for various plays a few times.

The first official adaptation of the substance as a musical is that produced by Kevin Wallace. Under the current by Bernd Berger in the nineties in Berlin as " The Lord of the Rings Musical" advertised production actually hid an adaptation of " The Hobbit ".

Toronto

Kevin Wallace and his partner Saul Zaentz - Owner of stage and film rights and producer of the 1978 resulting animation film " The Lord of the Rings" - produced in collaboration with the theater owner David Mirvish of Toronto and the advertising specialists Michael Chole a stage version, in which the libretto ( book and lyrics ) by Shaun McKenna and Matthew Warchus and the composition (Music) by AR Rahman, Christopher Nightingale and Värttinä came.

At this nearly four-hour version worked with 65 actors. To see them was at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Canada. The production was about 26.9 million US.Dollar. London
