Lorde

Lorde ( / lɔrd /, * November 7, 1996 in Devonport, Auckland, New Zealand; actual name Ella Maria Lani Yelich - O'Connor ) is a New Zealand musician.

Biography

In the intermediate ( 7/8 class) Lorde participated in her school in Belmont at the talent show. A video recording of them came to Universal Music, who received contact with her when she was only 12 years old. They took them under contract and supported their development. At 15, her music career then began to take shape. She presented her first ready right songs, especially the lyrics. Your preference for language also comes from her mother, who writes poems themselves. Together with Joel Little as a producer then she put them to music. Little was during the 2000s singer of pop-punk band Goodnight Nurse and had previously written and produced songs already for the electropop band Kids of 88. The stage name Lorde with a silent e at the end she chose out of her interest in aristocracy and royalty.

The end of 2012 they released their first EP titled The Love Club, first released on the Internet. With nine weeks at the chart peak, it was the second most successful song of the year in the States. On YouTube, the number of hits rose to the video world more than 15 million.
