Lorenzo Bellini

Lorenzo Bellini ( born September 3, 1643 Florence, † January 8, 1704 ) was an Italian anatomist.

He was a pupil of Giovanni Alfonso Borelli and professor of anatomy at Pisa. Bellini worked anatomy of the kidney and discovered the eponymous Bellini course. Since 1691 he was a member of the Accademia della Crusca.
