Lorenzo Dellai
Lorenzo Dellai ( born November 18, 1959 in Trento ) is an Italian Member of Parliament, leader of the Scelta Civica con Monti in the Camera dei deputati, former governor of the Autonomous Province of Trento and President of the autonomous region of Trentino -Alto Adige. He is married and has three children.
Career
In 1990 he was re-elected mayor of Trent and five years later, by an absolute majority.
In February 1999, he was first elected to the provincial governor of Trentino. Dellai is the founder and leader of the Unione per il Trentino (Union for Trentino ), an autonomist, christian democratic party.
He is also the author of the lista civica Margherita ( civil list vulgare), an alliance of people and Reform parties, which was a model for the establishment of Marguerite at the national level in 2001.
On 26 October 2003 he was confirmed in office by a majority of 60.8 % of the vote. The state elections of 9 November 2008, he was able to win, this time with 56.99 %.
According to the principle of rotation, which provides the Trentino and South Tyrol's governor at the head of the region alternately, Dellai was for half of the legislature also president of the autonomous region of Trentino-Alto Adige.

After the founding of the Partito Democratico in 2007 it came out in 2008 to split the Civica Margherita. Dellai not joined the Democratic Party, but founded the Union for the Trentino as a centrist regional party. In November 2009 Dellai was also involved in the establishment of the new National Alliance per l' Italia of his longtime companion Francesco Rutelli.
On December 29, 2012 Dellai told his waiver of the parliamentary mandate and the Office of the Provincial Governor, as he intended to run for the Italian parliamentary elections.
Dellai was selected as the top candidate of the Scelta Civica by Monti in the Chamber of Deputies elected and there on March 19, 2013 for " Capo Gruppo " ( Group Chairman ).
