Loretta Devine
Loretta Devine ( born August 21, 1949 in Houston, Texas ) is an American actress.
Life
Before Loretta Devine gave her acting debut in the 1981 Broadway musical Dreamgirls, she studied communications and theater at the University of Houston and then Theatre Studies at Brandeis University.
Devine plays mainly minor roles in cinema and television films or television series. Her most famous appearances include the television series Boston Public, in which she played a morbidly stressed teacher. For this series, it was three times awarded the Image Award. But when the series was canceled after the fourth season, faded also their success.
2011 Devine was honored for her recurring role of the doctor- wife and Alzheimer's patient Adele Webber in the television series Grey's Anatomy Emmy. Her character died in 2013 the Serientod. 2012 and 2013 she starred opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt in The Client List. The series, however, was canceled after the 2nd season.
