Lothar Schämer

Lothar Schämer ( born April 28, 1940 in Ottowitz Czech Republic ) is a former German football player.

The defender Lothar Schämer played his entire playing career at Eintracht Frankfurt. It was founded in 1963 at the squad of Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, scoring on the first matchday August 24, 1963 his first Bundesliga goal by hand penalty in the opening match against 1.FC Kaiserslautern, which ended 1-1. Overall, it brought Lothar Schämer 216 Bundesliga appearances in which he scored 24 goals. Lothar Schämer was in the early years even striker, but moved to the back position later. His last game he played on matchday 34 of the 1972/73 season against MSV Duisburg. After his professional career Lothar Schämer played a few more years in his hometown at SV Erzhausen.
