Lothar Stäber ( born April 1, 1936 in Erfurt ) is a German racing driver, who competed for the SC Dynamo Berlin / Sports Club Dynamo.
The biggest success of his career was in addition to other titles of winning the silver medal at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome in 2000 m tandem race of men with Jürgen Simon. In Velodromo Olimpico both had beaten the Italian team with Giuseppe Beghetto and Sergio Bianchetto.
Was in the 1961 post-Olympic Lothar Stäber with his new partner Senger GDR champion in tandem driving in front of the duo Jürgen Simon / Konrad Irmschler.
