Lotus 99T

The Lotus 99T is a Formula 1 racing team Lotus, which was used in the 1987 World Championship season. Developed by Gérard Ducarouge and Martin Ogilvie car was driven by Ayrton Senna and Satoru Nakajima and won two of 16 races of the season, took pole position and three fastest laps. The team finished in third place in the Constructors' World Championship. The victory of Senna at the Grand Prix of USA was the last Lotus in Formula 1

Was driven by the 99T a V6 engine of Honda with the type designation RA166E. The longitudinally mounted turbocharged mid-engine had 1494 cc displacement. The monocoque consisting of carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The 99T was the first Lotus active suspension.

The Lotus 100T for the following season was largely identical with the exception of changes in car 99T front and wheelbase.
