"Placebo are among the bands whose repertoire consists of two different songs, one fast and one slow. This received over the years, although a new more modern garb, the musical building block remains the same. [ ... ] The first single " Too Many Friends" was the worst thing for the seventh album " Loud Like Love " guess. Ungelenk Placebo devote the topic of online communication and social networks. Here, the now 40 -year-old Molko sounds like an old man who speaks with stilted words and high foreign Cham factor about things he does not understand. [ ... ] Remain placebo placebo placebo stay. The result is a music in pop style and catchy album, free from the corners and edges of the past. Nothing more, nothing less. "

" " Too Many Friends ", the settlement with social networks like Facebook, lyrically reminiscent of the worst of spoonerisms Sportfreunde Stiller [ ... ] and is also musically more of a damp squib. [ ... ] " Loud Like Love " also has its immensely strong moments like the hypnotic grooving title track, the typical placebo - Rumpler "Scene Of The Crime " and " Purify " and especially the melancholy epics "Begin The End" or " Bosco " where Molkos mature, but still fragile sounding voice alone is worth the money. "
