Louis Abelly

Louis Abelly (* 1602, † October 4, 1691 in Paris) was a bishop of Rodez in southern France, a Catholic moral theologian, friend and biographer of St. Vincent de Paul. He wrote the temperate semi-Pelagian dogmatic textbook " Medulla Theologica ". Therefore, the Jansenists gave him the leg imitate " le moelleux ". Abely was a great defender of the Marian cult and wrote about the church tradition.
