Louis Héctor Leroux

Hector Leroux (* December 27, 1829 in Verdun, † November 11, 1900 in Angers) was a French painter.

Leroux, brother of Eugène Leroux, devoted himself to the École des Beaux -Arts and also under François - Édouard Picot painting in 1857 went to Rome and then made more trips to Greece and Asia Minor.

He described with fondness scenes from the ancient Greek and ancient Roman life in cool academic style.
