Louis Trimble

Louis Preston Trimble ( born March 2, 1917 in Seattle, USA, † March 9, 1988 in Totnes, United Kingdom ) was an American Wild West, thriller and science fiction author, who also published as Gerry Traver and Stuart Brock.

Trimble was the son of an artist and studied at the East Washington State University, the University of Washington and the University of Pennsylvania, among others, linguistics; he was a connoisseur of Maltese and an authority in relation to the spoken dialects in Malta. He initially worked as a teacher in Bonners Ferry ( Idaho), then as a tutor and professor of social studies at the University of Washington. After his retirement he lived in England.

He wrote more than 70 novels (most of them thrillers and Wild West adventure ) as well as many articles and posts about science fiction literature. His own contribution to science fiction consists of a single short story ( Probability, 1954) and six novels.
