Love As A Foreign Language

Love As A Foreign Language is a comic book series of the Canadian comic book artist J. Torres and Eric Kim. It is about Joel, who taught as an English teacher at a Korean school.

Action

Joel hates Korea. Why he agreed to teach there, he can not explain in retrospect. He wishes to return home as quickly as possible. As he, however, in Hana, the secretary of the school, in love, he wonders, to spend another year in Korea, even though the country appears to him as a " rotten, stinking place with strange people and even seltsamerem food".

In the course of the story Joel and Hana come true closer, but falls Joel because of his hatred towards the Korean culture common in depression.

Publications

Love As A Foreign Language appeared as a series of six 72-page books for Oni Press. By May 2006, a re-release is planned for the anthology format. This anthology is titled as Love As A Foreign Language Omnibus collects the first three volumes.

The German edition of Love As A Foreign Language has been published as three -volume edition Eidalon the publisher or the new label Modern Tales.
