Love Is Better Than Ever

The sweet trap is an American romantic comedy from director Stanley Donen from the year 1952. The film was produced by Metro-Goldwyn- Mayer.

Action

The scene is first New York City, the time the present. Jud Parker is a not exaggerated industrious Broadway agent that decides to move in a professional matter to New Haven, where he met the attractive young Stacie Macaboy. Stacie has a dance school and has two potential rivals - Mrs. Levoy and their daughter Pattie Marie - they can not be out of sight and where they nachreist little later to New York to dance teacher conference. There she meets and falls in love again Jud him, but initially turned away from him.

Her mother brings them back home. Because Stacie Jud can not forget, she's looking for a trick to win the lover still. In the local newspaper, she is known by listing their engagement with Jud. Production and reception

The sweet event was the third film directed by 27 -year-old Stanley Donen, who also such important films as Today ' let's go strolling (1949 ), Singin' in the Rain (1952 ) and Charade (1963 ) has staged its performance for a long time but little has been observed. Only after long Donen directed no more movies, he was honored with a number of awards for his life's work. The 19 -year-old Elizabeth Taylor went during the production of the film with him and let herself be seen with him, among other things on the Academy Awards in March 1951, which caused a stir because Donen was married and Taylor have recent of her first husband, Nicky Hilton, had separated.
