Love Shack is a song by American band The B -52's. It was released in September 1989 as a single from their album Cosmic Thing. The piece was the first million-seller of the band. It was set by the music magazine Rolling Stone ranked 243 of the 500 best songs of all time.

History

The piece was written by Kate Pierson, Fred Schneider, Keith Strickland and Cindy Wilson and produced by Don Was. It was the first Top 10 hit of the band in the U.S. and reached there place three of the Billboard Hot 100, the song was inspired by a hut near Athens ( Georgia), Pierson lived in the singer in the 1970s. In 2004 it burned down.

The piece received a number of awards. So it was named as one of the Songs of the Century, the Recording Industry Association of America.
