Lower Saxon Asparagus Road

The Lower Saxony Asparagus Route proves the inert Vegetable Asparagus reverence, which is grown in north-west Germany in the area between Brunswick and Lüneburg, between Bremen, Cloppenburg and Vechta, of Nienburg / Weser about Hoya to Soltau.

The asparagus road has a length of about 750 km and connects the tourist regions Lüneburg Heath, Hanover and surrounding areas, Braunschweiger Land, Middle Weser and the Oldenburger Munsterland.

It was initiated by the Association of Lower Saxony Asparagus Route eV and is a counterpart to the German Wine Road, the Lower Saxon Mill Road and the German Fairy Tale Road dar.

A section of the asparagus road runs from Burgdorf Nienburg / Weser, Bruchhausen- Vilsen Bassum up to Sulingen. In Nienburg located since 2005, the Lower Saxony Asparagus Museum.
