The Loyola Marymount University ( LMU) is a private university in Los Angeles in the U.S. state of California. She is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. Currently, 8,547 students are enrolled.
History
The Loyola Marymount University was created in 1973 from the merger of Marymount College and Loyola University. The origin of the Loyola University goes back to St. Vincent 's College, which was founded in 1865. The Marymount College was (only for women) founded in 1933 as Marymount Junior College.
