Luana Patten

Luana Patten ( born July 6, 1938 in Long Beach, California, † May 1, 1996 ibid ) was an American actress.

Life

As early as 1946 it was as a 7 -year-old addition to the later children's Oscar winner Bobby Driscoll at Walt Disney's Uncle Remus ' Wonderland ( '' Song of the South '' ) and its sequel A champion to fall in love ( '' So Dear To My Heart '' ), 1948, for a child star. But in the same year she moved to the urging of her parents in part from the film business to enjoy a decent education outside the film studios.

After graduating from high school, she managed in 1957 in the patriotic family strip Johnny Tremain the successful jump back to the movie screen, which secured her a second career as a teenage actress. This was followed by yobs movies like Rock Pretty Baby of 1956 or Joe Dakota ( 1957), as well as dramas and westerns like The Restless Years ( 1958) and The Young Captives of 1959.

Only in the late 1960s, she said goodbye to final of the movie business, but remained until 1970 in the television series such as Daniel Boone, police report and Adam 12 faithful. Her last known appearance in front of the camera was the role of a grim old lady in the opening scene of the horror strip Grotesque 1988 with Linda Blair and Tab Hunter.

Luana Patten died on 1 May 1996 at the age of 57 years at her home in Long Beach to respiratory arrest. She was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery of Long Beach.
