Lucas Achtschellinck

Lucas Achtschellinck ( born January 16, 1626 Brussels, † May 12, 1699 ) was a Flemish landscape painter.

1639 Achtschellinck was admitted as a student of Peter van der Borcht in the Brussels painters' guild and was heavily influenced by Jacques d' Arthois. 1657 he was admitted as a free master in Brussels. His paintings are characterized by spaciousness of the images, a strong green and a slightly rough shape perception.

On March 13, 1674 he married Anna Parys.
